Great guesses on that last post! A lot of you had some really great ideas that I wish Lifeway could use in the future!

What a great idea! And the kids could do all kinds of treasure hunts for prizes. Or they could have their picture taken in front of a backdrop of the ocean on the first day of VBS just like they do before a cruise!
And I love all the ideas about musicals! I think that would be so much fun!

My official search has begun! Like I said earlier, this year is going to be harder than last year but I’m not going to let that stop me!

Lord knows the region has had it tough times but God has really shown some of his great works there in the clean up efforts and revitalizing of the city. Alot of mission work and Christian volunteers was greatly needed and was well recieved
No Mardi Gras because that is a Pagan festival.

I have 2 guesses – either Space – God’s Frontier or Pirate’s – God’ Treasures.
I think I am going to go with the Space theme, since that is so popular with the kids right now. Fingers crossed. I am sure whatever it is it will be Great!

Did anyone else noticed the letters P, B, I, and A on the wall in the background? Wonder if that is the acronym for the theme.

I’ve got to believe the theme is Stuff and Things…and if not, maybe it can be in the future because the youth of today, well all of us, are overloaded with “stuff”. We are guilty of being so involved in our “stuff” (texting, computers, tv, sports etc) we sometimes fail to remember that Jesus should be our focus in our daily walk. Too bad God can’t be sent a text. LOL
P.S. VBS is going great and the cowpokes are loving it!!!!
I am thinking the theme is “Stuff and Things”. Due to the song Liveway shared. It was about loving God more than things.

Wow I have 2 guesses, I’m thinking something about swimming or boats because of the goggles that Donny’s wearing. And the letter was signed “All aboard” OR a circus/carnival theme because of the confetti and balloon. Can’t wait to find out more.
I’m thinking a circus/carnival or “Under the Big Top” type theme. That would be so fun!!!

A fun cruise was my first thought. As I thought of this theme it struck me that sometimes our lives can be that of the waves around the boat. Pulling and tugging at us, and if we let it we can get so distracted with allowing (from the perspective of the the child) other kids to tempt us and pull us or push us into doing things we normally would otherwise do. This can also apply to the youth and adults.
With God as our motor or engine we can find a way through the tough seas. The Holy Spirit is the sail…guiding and directing us, and of course…you guessed it….Jesus is the life saving devices on the boat. Depending on where you are at on the boat you may need a ring bouy or flotation life vest, a flotation cushion or a rescue throw rope!!
I could go on and on but I think I shall just stop….

How about, “Cruising the wide open seas for the Lord,” or “Cruising the universe for Jesus?” It will be a great one whatever it is!

How about a theme of celebrating new life if Jesus? Sharing numerous examples from the bible of how God used individuals, His Word and even a donkey for His honor and glory and purposes.

Hey Donny! Keep up the great work! Most of the parents at my church in Alabama think we are heading for a circus theme with the clues so far, but I am still not sure…
If you take the phrase: “confetti/orange balloon” and rearrange the letters you get:
“Location Near Globe Font”
Now all I have to do is find what part of the Earth is considered the front and I got it made!…Maybe I am thinking way to hard on this! Hopefully, a new clue will come in soon!
I noticed the B, P, I & A as well. Maybe in the next video there will be more letters. Did anyone notice the mug the appears in front of the computer about half way through the video? About 1:43 in. It was not there the whole time and then it appears for the rest of the video. I tried watching it in HD but still couldn’t see what was on it.
Well, I will also guess that it may be a carnival-type theme due to the confetti/balloon clue. However, though the song clip really isn’t supposed to reveal a clue, it favors an Annette Funicello song to me. So, I also think it could be some type of beach party!

i noticed the PBIA right off too. i figure there is some clue in donny’s guesses tho. the only thing i could fit with the hint is juggling. then the picture from earlier had cats and i figure thats gotta be a hint too. So like most everyone else so far i’m thinkin circus. of course the cats in a circus are alot bigger! circus would be very fun to interact with the kids with! maybe its. . . Praisin In A Bigtop! ha ha just guessin!

Maybe the theme has something to do with parachutes, airplanes, and balloons.
I have to go with the “Cruising God’s Creation in 80 Days” hot air balloon theme. Donny is wearing pilot goggles so that has to mean something. Combined with the balloon, it makes sense that it would be a hot air balloon theme.

I am loving trying to guess. I think it is either:
Circus/Carnival
Pirates/Search for the “Real Treasure” we all know the real treasure is Christ but we tend to get caught up in “things” or our treasures.
I’m thinking a hot air balloon with an “around the world” theme. Maybe having commissioned the “Jesus” balloon that I’ve seen several times here in Oregon.
Maybe each letter (PBIA) is the first letter of each of the “places” we will be visiting in the VBS week! Is that an “H” that is hanging on the wall right beside the “P”. It is blue and hard to see whether it is an “H” or a decoration. I think a Time-Traveling theme would be cool sometime as well!

I think it is a “Surprise” theme or maybe a “Parade”.
Missions at the ballpark? The money is about missions and the ballpark could have balloons and confetti.
